Nigerian Champions, Enugu Rangers will take on Zambian club, Zesco United in the playoffs of the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup on Sunday in Enugu and the Flying Antelope’s gaffer, Imama Amapakabo is confident that his charges are focused on qualifying to the group stage.

The Enugu base team were knocked out of the Caf Champions League but earned a spot in the playoffs of the Caf Confederation Cup where they are just a step away to making the lucrative group stage of the competition.

“We've prepared very well based on the information we’ve been able to get about the Zesco United. We've worked on our team in some major aspect and I believe come Sunday we should deliver in the first leg in Enugu while we target to do same away in the second leg,” Amapakabo told Footyalert

“They've got pedigree on the continent having made the last four in Africa last season so they are a strong side no doubt. We also have a firsthand experience playing on the continent but come Sunday we shall put all that to play.”

“We shall draw some inspiration from the win in our last match on the continent while playing in the Caf Champions League against Zamalek despite the first leg score line.”

“We know that all we have now is to qualify for the group stage of the Caf Confederation Cup, knowing that if we don't take our chances we will be out completely.”

“I appreciate the response from the team, technical crew and the supporters and I think come Sunday we shall start that move to qualify for the group stage on a positive note,” Amapakabo concludes.
