My People FC gaffer, Attia Yusuf has stated that the General Overseer of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, T.B Joshua (SCOAN) who is the sole financier of the club deserves a promotion ticket to the apex league in Nigeria.
The Lagos base club will debut in the Nigeria National League (NNL), a second tier league in Nigeria, scheduled to start on 18TH March 2017 with a trip to Bendel Insurance.
“I must say here that we are prepared for the new seaon in the National League, it’s a new adventure for us and we are ready in our usual way to achieve the best. We are highly motivated to achieve our target to pick one of the promotion tickets to the Nigeria Professional Football League. The General Overseer of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, prophet T.B Joshua deserves it and we shall give our best to make it a reality,” Attia told Footyalert
“His support for the team has been amazing and there isn’t pressure on the team. He has charged us to always be of good conduct and represent the church well at all times.”
“We have a group of players who are best of friends, the preseason activities went well and we are prepared. As we travel to Benin this weekend to face Bendel Insurance, we hope to pick at least a point from that match,” Attia added
My People FC gained promotion from the third tier league, Nigeria Nationwide League One in 2016.
