  • Go Round Of Omoku Defeat Prime FC In NNL Opener

     Newly promoted Nigeria National League side, Go Round Football Club of Omoku, Friday evening defeated experienced Prime Football Club, 1-0.

     Go Round recorded a vital win over impressive Prime FC at the Krisdera Hotel Stadium, Omoku courtesy of 82nd minute penalty converted by Ali Chiwendu.

     Prime were excellent defensively in the latter part of the game

    and looked dangerous on the counter attack before the controversial penalty was awarded to Go Round FC.

     Go Round held on to the 1-0 win over the Omoluabi Giants.

     Speaking after the encounter with newsmen, Prime gaffer, Samuel Abimbola, eulogized his new look side for playing according to his tactics but, solicited for fair officiating as the league progresses.

     "I give kudos to my boys for playing according to tactics, it was a good game and I must commend the players. Though we lost the match but we were not disgraced, you all saw the game and how controversial the penalty was."

     "We will go back to the drawing board and correct all the errors we noticed and prepare well for our double home games. We are still in the right track and by the special grace of God this will be the last game we will lost at away," the former Sunshine Stars tactician said.
