This week in the premier league offers us a host of scintillating matches first of all will be the faceoff between third placed Surulere Fc and seventh placed Mosan Okunola FC.
The Mosan boys have the potential to derail Surulere’s title aspirations but will need to put up their best performance of the season if they are to stop the in-form Sport City team at the legacy stadium on Sunday afternoon. Another crowd puller will be the
encounter between Lagos Island and second placed Ojo Y.M.D Babes.
Lagos Island have a reputation of causing major upsets when playing against higher ranked teams and anything is possible when they host high flying Ojo who have recorded a highly impressive eleven wins, two draws and only one loss all season. Agege stadium will play host to this epic encounter on Saturday Afternoon.
In other matches Lagos Island East will look to contain Agege Giants while Apapa Iganmu will try to stop their free fall when they face Onigbongb Ultimate Strikers. Mushin Bombers take on Ajeromi Ifelodun and League leaders Apapa host Odi Olowo.
League 1 began their week 15 matches on Wednesday with League leaders Ojodu FC shooting themselves in the foot when they were held to a 1-1 draw against an unlikely Ikosi Isheri side. The chasing pack of Ibeju Lekki, Egbe Idimu, Orile Agege and Lekki FC now have a chance to leapfrog the current leaders. In the other mid-week results Shomolu FC defeated Yaba 1-0, while Bariga ran over Agboyi Ketu 3-0.
In this weekend’s League 1 matches, Orile Agege take on Lekki Fc in a must-watch encounter, while Egbe Idimu take on easy Ikorodu Central. Agbado Oke Odo will try to contain the rampant Ibeju Lekki at LASU on Sunday afternoon while Ayobo Ipaja and Eredo will square it off at the Alade Stadium.
