Nigeria and Toronto FC forward Bright Dike wrote on Twitter that "Monday was the worst day of his life" after he tore his Achilles' tendon during a training session with Toronto FC on Monday.
The big forward, 27 is expected to play a part in the up coming friendly against Mexico .
The official website of his club, Toronto FC announced on Monday that
"striker Bright Dike sustained a leg injury on Monday morning while practicing with the team in Orlando, Florida. He will return to Toronto on Tuesday (today) for further evaluation by the team's medical staff.
Dike appeared in seven matches for the Reds in 2013 after being acquired September 9, 2013 from Portland. He made five starts and scored one goal, a game-winner versus DC United on September 28, 2013.
