     Stationery Stores "Flaming Flamingoes" Return To NNL

    Stationery Stores Football Club of Lagos May as well be on their way for a come back to the Nigeria. National League (NNL). The"Flaming Flamingoes" the much celebrated club side is expected to take over another Lagos base club slot in the NNL 2013/2014 season.

    Earlier reports from the camp of Union Bank FC of Lagos who just gained promotion from the Nigeria Nationwide League (NNWL) a third level league in Nigeria have it that their sponsor won't be able to sponsor the team in the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2013/2014 season due to financial reasons. This situation has now compelled the club to
    throw their NNL slot up for interested clubs to buy with a couple of clubs already showing interest of do business.

    Reports available to Footyalert have it that Union Bank have written to the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) indicating their intention to allow Stores take over their slot in the NNL.

    A Lagos FA official who pleaded anonymity told Footyalert  that the LSFA have requested a letter from Union Bank FC sponsor, the club and Stationery Stores indicating that the slot has been given out to Stores. Though Union Bank have sent in a letter but Union Bank FC and Stationery Stores have said they will send in a letter to that effect on Monday 3rd of February 2014.

    On Saturday morning (1/02/2014) at the Union Bank complex, Eric More Lagos, Adetilewa Adebajo told Footyalert when he was asked about the Stores come back that "we shall announce the come back of Stores when the time is right"

    The Flaming Flamingoes went under ground due to ownership dispute involving two of the Adebajo siblings, Gloria Adebajo-Fraser and her half-brother Adetilewa Adebajo.

    To further confirm Stationery Stores bold step to come back, the required N1.2 million Naira registration fee for the Nigeria National League (NNL) 2013/2014 season which will kickoff on the 15th of February has been paid and 10 official NNL match balls has been received.

    With some documents expected to be signed and submitted it's likely the Pride of Lagos, Stationery Stores FC popularly called " Flaming Flamingoes"  will feature in the Nigeria National League (NNL)
