The Metro Pro League will start today with an interesting fixture, Bridge FC Vs. 36 Lion FC by 4pm at the Agege stadium.
We've heard in the past where professionals criticize and suggest the best way to run a football league in Nigeria that will attract massive followership.
Today, a group of professionals have taken a
bold step to run a private league that is expected to compete with the main stream leagues though its scope is limited to Lagos but that's not an excuse not deliver.
They've promised to offer something the fans of the league will be proud of. All the clubs that will participate in the league are private owned so they've got no excuse not to perform.
Officiating is expected to be top notch, 40 referees have been picked to officiate in the 2013/2014 season while Onikan stadium, Agege stadium, Legacy pitch and LASU pitch are considered as match venues.
