    Kano State Government Sack Pillars Board

    NEW board of directors and management committee of Kano Pillars Football club have been  reconstituted by Kano state government.

    The special adviser to the state governor on sports development, Alhaji Ahmad Shuaibu Gara stated this today (Monday) while briefing newsmen at the state Deputy Governor’s conference room in Kano.

    According to Gara in a statement made available to Footyalert, the new board
    was reconstituted following the failure of the last board to meet the state government’s expectation.

    Alhaji Gara further explained that the last board was insubordination to the constituted authority, lack of accountability and prudent management of public resources as well as lack of cooperation and synergy among the members.

    He said that other problems militating in the last board poor quality of technical officials, adding that composition of both management of the club and board without clearly spelt out demarcation of reasonability and the condition of service.

    The SA said that the new board of directors of the club include Arc. Ibrahim Haruna as chairman, Alhaji Garba Nuhu Danburan, vice chairman, Alhaji Aminu Dan Amo, Alhaji Lawan Adda’u, Alhaji Sabo Abdullahi Kofar Mata, Alhji Bashir Muazu, Alhaji Abubakar Naziru Aminu, Alhaji Kabiru Ali Dawaki, Alhaji Nasiru Garba Bichi and Alhaji Garba Umar to server as members.

    While the new management committee of the board are Alhaji Umar Babangida Muhmad as general manager, Kabiru Baleria, team manage, Salisu Yaro, general coordinator, Okey Emordi, technical adviser, Dr. Ibn Garba Idris, medical officer, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, media officer, Muhammad I Abba, licensing officer, CSP Shuaibu Bello, chief security officer, Shehu Aliyu, finance officer, Habibu Zubairu, kit manager, Surajo Tudun Wada to serve as secretary.

    However, the SA said that the state government has directed the state accountant general to provide N100million to the LCM as part of its guideline to all premier clubs.

    Alhaji Gara said that the state government has approved the payment of all outstanding liability of the club with corporate affairs commission..
