Lobi Stars Target Continental Slot For Benue State

Lobi Stars Team Manager, Barnabas Imenger has expressed the strong desire of his team to play on the continent.

The Benue State outfit who were the Nigerian champions in 1999 have played on the continent on four different occasion; once in the Caf Champions League where they made it to the group stage and thrice in the Caf Confederation Cup.

"We have always said that we shall triumph in any competition we are going into, Our target has always been to make the continent and even though we have few matches left, with the exception of Giwa FC match which means we have just two matches left. We shall put in our very best because the result in those matches will go a long way to make us achieve our goal,' Imenger told Footyalert

"We sincerely want to play on the continent next season, the government has invested so much money into this team courtesy of his excellency Governor, Samuel Ortom. Our salaries is paid as at when due so we've got no reason not to bring joy to Benue state.
