Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) all time highest goal scorer, Mfon Udoh has stated that there is no excuse for Enyimba's poor performances this season.
The seven time Nigerian champion, Enyimba are out of the continental slot in the NPFL but remain in contention in the 2016 Federation Cup as they tackle Nasarawa United in the semi final.
Mfon Udoh who scored nine goals in the 2016 Caf Champions League before his club, Enyimba were eliminated in the group stage noted that the players should take responsibility of the People's Elephant performance this term.
"We have no one to blame but ourselves . I can't blame it on fatigue or not playing on our home ground. Playing too many matches shouldn't be an excuse because we are players and we are meant to deliver when ever we are called upon," Mfon told Footyalert
In another related development Mfon added that Enyimba have a very good chance of progressing to the final of the 2016 Federation Cup and also lifting the trophy as the players are taking it seriously and also see it as a window to play continental football.
"This is our only chance to get it right this season and a chance to play on the continent and we the players are determined to make this happen,"Mfon Udoh stated
