Nigerian forward Junior Ajayi has been tipped by the chairman of 36 Lion FC, Gafar Liameed to score goals aplenty in the Egyptian league.

According to reports in the Egyptian press, Ajayi  completed a $2.5 million move from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien to Al Ahly on a four-year deal. The Nigerian international who won bronze with Nigeria’s U23 team at the 2016 Rio Olympics football event, played for 36 Lion FC before he moved to First Bank, 3SC and Tunisian club, CS Sfaxien. Junior Ajayi scored ten goals and made seven  assists in 28 league games for  Tunisian  club, CS Sfaxien.

36 Lion FC chairman, Gafar Liameed in a chat to Footyalert shared his thought on Ajayi’s latest move.

“I will tell you that Junior Ajayi's transfer is good, sizable amount, looks good but i might not be able to tell you the exact figure but i can confirm that it's better than what he was earning in Tunisia. Junior is good striker and i am confident that he will deliver for Al Ahly. He played from the wings while Sfaxien of Tunisia and banged in ten goals and made seven assist. I see him play from the wings as at Al Ahly and i expect him to score at least fifteen goals.

“You know that Al Ahly have a more compact team than Sfaxien so i expect him do well, he's still twenty so he's got a whole lot of football years ahead of him. Our Target for him is Europe but we know it's a gradual process and he would become one of the best in the world,’ Gafar told Footyalert
