The management of El-kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri has announced the news of the passing away of one of its staff Mallam Usman Kafarja popularly known as the "Warriors".
According to the Desert Warriors' Team Manager, Alhaji Ajayi Baba Ali, the news of his death came as a shock and surprise to team of El-Kanemi Warriors.
"The sad news broke while we were in training on Monday. We shall always appreciate the love he has for the team. In fact he was a real warrior. He has a long list of nicknames ' Warriors, Kalee, Meta or Owko.
"On behalf of the government of Borno State, the management of El-kanemi Warriors and the good people of the state, we share our condolence with the family of late Kafaja, may his soul rest in peace, " Ajayi Baba Ali
