Emeka Nwabalogu has declared that only a win on Wednesday will brighten Abia Warriors' chances of beating the drop.
Abia Warriors will host city neighbors, Enyimba on Wednesday in a match that will determine the Umuahia outfit future and Emeka Nwabalogu has reaffirmed that the Warriors are in dare need of a win.
Abia Warriors started the season with a blistering statistics where they went 11 matches unbeaten but a poor form in the second half of the season has seen the Umuahia base club go on a free fall and at the moment they fighting off relegation.
"We have gotten the needed motivation in our last win against Nasarawa United and the desire to get more on Wednesday is pretty high. It has been a tough session for the team, we play so well yet struggle to get the required result. I think it's just hard luck but hope fully we shall survive this battle to stay in the NPFL next season," Nwabalogu told Footyalert
Last season Abia Warriors lost by a lone goal at home to Enyimba but the defender, Nwabalogu has said it's fight to finish this time around.
"We need to win on Wednesday, we are in need of a win. We know so well that if we can just do enough not to drop point at all then our walk out of the relegation zone will be brightened. We can't just afford to lose focus at all. A win is the most important thing to us. We have our destiny in our hands and we must go all out and hit the target.
