The Nigeria National League (NNL) have resolved to use referees
from the top flight league in Nigeria to officiate in the final phase of the
2015/16 season as a new date in September has been announced for the resumption
of the league.
According to a notice served by the NNL secretary, Lawrence
Katken to clubs concerned, the 2015/16 season scheduled to resume on September 10th has now been
postponed to September 17th
2016.
The letter reads: “ This is to inform you that the NNL scheduled
to recommence on the 10th sept. 2016 has been postponed to 17th sept. 2016.
This is due to our resolve to use premier league referees so as
to ensure more credibility to the league at this critical stage .
The rescheduled games of the NPFL to 10th Sept. 2016 will affect
availability of enough premier league referees to officiate in all the games.
While we regret the inconvenience(s) this postponement might
cause, we wish you all a hitch free Sallah celebration.
