The Super Eagles (B team) can push Nigeria higher in the FIFA ranking if the home base Super Eagles get to the finals and possibly lift the CHAN trophy.
FIFA has confirmed that matches at the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) finals in South Africa will be given full "A" status. The previous CHAN final in 2009 and 2011 in Ivory Coast and Sudan respectively were not given full international status.
The home base Eagles now have a chance to push Nigeria up in the FIFA ranking if they get favorable result.
