According to a statement on the club's official website, "City can confirm the signing of Nigerian international central defender Joseph Yobo on a loan deal until the end of the season from Turkish side Fenerbahce, subject to international clearance and governing body"
Yobo who led Nigeria to a victorious outing at the African Cup of nations (AFCON) held in South Africa in 2013 will have an opportunity to get more playing time if he stays fit.
City coach,Chris Hughton also confirmed on the club's official website that there is a problem with defender, Michael Turner, who’s got a hamstring pull which will continue to keep him out for a fair amount of time, so it’s an area we needed to fill.
