Lokoja based Nigeria Women Premier League side Kogi Confluence Queens
FC pair, Ikeh Ginika and Vincent Mercy have been invited to the camp of the Nigeria’s U-17 National Team – the Flamingoes.
Striker Ikeh Ginika who got an early call-up will now be joined at the Flamingoes camp by Kogi Confluence Queens FC team-mate Vincent Mercy a goalkeeper who got a late invitation to replace dropped Anams Lilian.

Tosin Ojo revealed that the club is fully in support of the players call-up to the National camp, particularly the club’s Chairman Mallam Abdul Adama who described the invitation as a sign of good things to the club.
He urged the players to make the team proud by making the final list at the National team. He however stated that the state government is solidly behind them in their quest to bring honour to the state.
It will be recalled that Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada has for the first time in the history of Confluence Queens, improved the welfare of the team by securing a comfortable accommodation alongside an improved salary structure.
