Foreign Players Enliven Abia Warriors Camp

The camp of newly promoted Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia was enlivened recently when some foreign players stormed the camp and dazzled in training.

The Warriors have been training twice daily at the renovated Umuahia Township Stadium and soccer-hungry fans have been part of the training sessions as they
throng  daily to the arena to catch the action, especially to see the foreign players.

Two Ivoriens, Toure Desire Idriss a striker and Ngouan Marc Olivier Ibelson a midfielder were joined to the Warriors camp by Benin Republic’s striker, Kuassi Judi and central defender, Xavier Abar Pierre Merch from Senegal and all of them have been putting up some stellar performances to the admiration of the fans and technical crew led by former Super Eagles utility player, Emeka Ezeugo.

Ezeugo expressed happiness at the arrival of the players, saying their presence has engendered more positive competition in the squad.

Ezeugo, who could not name the final squad the club will register for the season, said they are currently playing some high flying friendly games with top club sides in the country and expressed satisfaction with the performance of his boys so far.

The Technical Adviser said the team was finalizing strategies and concentrating on physical training that will see the players through the whole season.

He commended the Management of the club for their assistance and promised that they will not disappoint their numerous fans.
