Personally I feel this isn't the best legs we've got from the home scene but technically the coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi knows more. After putting up a not too good performance against the Eagles of Mali in their first CHAN match the Super Eagles of Nigeria recorded a comfortable 4:2 win against the Mambas of Mozambique but I saw much more than the just the result. Below (after the cut)is what I saw as per each player in action against Mozambique.
CHIGOZIEAGBIM: He has been a mojor source of concern for Nigerian fans in since the build up to this tournament. Despite the fact that he is the captain of the team, his general performance has been very poor in goal, his poor performance may be as a result of match rustiness. What can you say about that long range shot close to the centre of the pitch? 2/10
AZUBUIKE EGWUEKWE: The Warri Wolves captain won all the area challenge and he has improved on his marking but he needs to improve on his defensive coordination as well.6/10
KUNLE ODULAMI: He needs to learn how to strike better pathnership with Egwuekwe, he made some good tackles in the game but it's obvious he needs to nurture a better communication with the back line. 5/10
BRIGHT ESIEME: Even though he played out of position, he performed very well. 6/10
SOLOMON KWAMBE: He stepped up his game but he should leave those setpiece for Rabiu Ali. 6/10
UGONNA UZORCHUKWU: He was every were in the pitch before his injury, full of energy, not afraid to make a tackle but he needs to improve on his passes. 5/10
RABIU ALI: The kano pillars midfield maestro waz Super Eagles best player on the pitch, his first goal was well taken, he was d driving force in the Nigeria midfield 7/10
EJIKE UZOENYI: He showed some glimpse of his old self but the Enugu Rangers midfielder need to improve on his decision making 5/10
SHEHU ABDULAHI: He had a good game buh he needs to improve on his passing ability and also learn how to time is tackles 6/10
GBOLAWAN SALAMI: Popularly referred to as Nigeria Baloteli, he did not build on his performance against Mali but he is never afriad of taking on defenders:5/10
IFEANYI EDE: The Enyimba of Aba forward was full of energy throughout the duration of the game, his goal was well taken 6/10
SUBS:
UMAR ZANGO: His marking is good but his passes are accurate. If he works on this passes, he'll be a better player. 5/10
BARNABAS IMENGER JNR: He had a good game despite the few minutes he had on the pitch. He scored a Lionel Messi trade mark chip to secure the win for the Super Eagles 7/10
CHRISTIAN PYBARA : No enough time to rate him.
